Step 1

Preheat oven to 325°F. In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt. In separate bowl, beat eggs with milk and vanilla; stir in melted butter. Add all at once to flour mixture; stir just until moistened. Fill prepared pans. Bake 15-18 minutes or until cupcake springs back when lightly touched. Cool completely on rack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I used this recipe for Gingerbread cupcakes this past Thanksgiving and they were a hit! The cake was moist and yummy and I paired the cupcakes with a peppermint buttercream icing. The mild taste of the peppermint in the icing paired great with the savory, ginger tastes in the cupcake. I combined this recipe with a recipe from my grandmother and the outcome was 4 stars.. Thanks!
