Additional Information

Step 1

Line an 8 in. x 8 in. square pan with parchment paper.

Step 2

In heavy saucepan, heat Candy Melts in sweetened condensed milk over low flame, stirring until melted and smooth. Remove from heat.* Stir in nuts and vanilla, if desired, then spread evenly into prepared pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn onto cutting board, peel off paper. Use cookie cutters to cut into shapes, or cut into squares. Store in airtight container, at room temperature.

* For microwave, heat Candy Melts and sweetened condensed milk in 2 qt. glass container on high power 2½-3½ minutes, then stir until melted and smooth. (Note since microwaves vary in wattage and power output, cooking time may need to be adjusted.)

*This recipe also works with White Candy Melts or Dark Cocoa Candy Melts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Chocolate for Candy Making Wilton Candy Melts make the best fudge my mother ever had (Her words). It's also a very versatile product. I love the Dark Cocoa and instead of walnuts I have added almonds and dried cranberries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I make chocolate bacon fudge based off this recipe and boy let me tell you it is a huge hit. I sell it at local festivals and everyone loves it. In some batches I also add peanut butter with the bacon and it is just great. If you want to see what my fudge looks like you can take a look at my site here. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I used the eggnog candy melts. I threw two bags of them in a bowl with one can of sweetened condensed milk. Microwaved them for 2 minutes, stirred in a dollop of butter flavored bakery emulsion and it is fantastic! I plan on doing the same with the candy cane flavored melts, as well as the gingerbread.
