Bake cakes. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Divide into three equal portions.
Using Orange, Golden Yellow and Lemon Yellow icing colors, tint one portion batter each orange, golden yellow and yellow.
Bake and cool three cake layers. Trim each layer to 1 in. high.
Tint icing. Using Black icing color, tint 4 cups icing black. Using black icing, fill, stack and ice cake smooth.
Using Orange, Golden Yellow, Lemon Yellow and Christmas Red icing colors, tint six 1/3 cup portions of icing various shades of red, orange and yellow. For vine, tint ¼ cup icing very light red using Christmas Red icing color.
Decorate cake. Using toothpick, lightly draw design on top of cake.
Prepare seven decorating bags with tip 2. Fill separately with various shades of red, orange, very light red and yellow icing. Using thin lines, pipe vines, then leaves, filling in design.
