Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 2/3 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups peeled, mashed ripe bananas (about 3-4)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks or chocolate chips, divided

Notes

  • Freshly baked bread can be stored in the freezer for up to a month. Make sure your bread has cooled completely, then wrap it in plastic wrap and aluminum foil.
