Make cake. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool two cake halves according to package directions.
Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint a portions yellow and a small amount brown. Use spatula and yellow icing to assemble cake halves and ice cake smooth. Immediately cover cake with yellow sugar.
Decorate cake. Use tip 12, cut decorating bag and brown icing to pipe dot eyes.
Dip marshmallow chicks. Melt light cocoa Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Dip yellow and pink PEEPS? marshmallow chicks, about 3/8 in. deep, in melted candy. Immediately sprinkle with confetti or nonpareils. Place on parchment-covered board. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Assemble treats. Position cake on serving plate. Position chicks around cake.

Not worth itI bought this pan a few months back, to make for Easter. When I baked it, it only baked half of the mold. It made a "hill" that did not reach the other side AND had a Big huge crack too. I think it was a waste of money. I had the same thing happened to the lamb I did when I started to do cakes. Now it will collect dust because I will not use it again. What a waste.
