Bring a prehistoric page of history to life, complete with dinosaurs and a volcano. Use our 11 in. x 15 in. Sheet Pan and Classic Wonder Mold to set the scene.

  1. Make dino Shape-N-Amaze 3-D character three days in advance. Use online directions to create dino cake toppers.

  2. Create flowers and leaves one day in advance. Tint 2 oz. fondant violet, 2 oz. a lighter shade of pink, 1 oz. dark green and 2 oz. gray.

    Use 9 in. fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out light pink fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use medium and large daisy Cut-Outs to cut 14 medium and large flowers. Use knife to cut flowers in half. Use damp brush to attach medium flower to large flower.

    Use fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out violet fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use knife to cut three leaves, 2 in. x 1/2 in., for each plant with a total of 14 plants. Use damp brush to attach three leaves together and bend out two leaves on top.

    Use fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out dark green fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use smallest leaf Cut-Out to cut 42 leaves. Attach three together to form 14 plants.

    Let all dry on cornstarch-dusted surface overnight.

  3. Make cakes. Prepare batters following recipe directions. Bake and cool 1-layer sheet cake and Wonder Mold cake according to pan package directions. Place sheet cake on a foil wrapped cake board.
  4. Cover cakes with fondant. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Use spatula and icing to lightly ice cakes. Tint 60 oz. of fondant moss green. Use 20 in. fondant roller with orange guide rings to roll out 1/8 in. thick. Cover sheet cake.

    Use fondant roller with orange guide rings to roll out chocolate fondant 1/8 in. thick. Cover Wonder Mold cake. Place Wonder Mold cake on top corner of sheet cake using stacked construction.

  5. Decorate cake. Tint 3 oz. of fondant red and 2 oz. fondant orange. Use fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out each, separately, 1/8 in. thick. Use knife and red fondant to cut out circle, 7 in. dia. Place on Wonder Mold Pan.

    Use knife to cut lava drips, 4 1/2 in dia., from red fondant. Use damp brush to attach to volcano. Repeat using orange fondant.

    Use gray fondant to roll 40 rocks, 5/8 in. dia. to 1/4 in. dia. Use piping gel and brush to attach randomly to base of volcano.

    Use piping gel and brush to attach plants and rocks on sides of cake. Use balls of fondant to prop up plants on top of cake.

    Position cake toppers.
