In advance: Make 30 candy "C" pieces. Place pattern on cookie sheet and cover with waxed paper. Outline pattern using melted candy in cut parchment bag; refrigerate until firm. Carefully peel candy off waxed paper and turn over; outline back of "C"; refrigerate until firm. Make extras to allow for breakage.
Bake and cool cheesecake. Pipe tip 21 shell bottom border. On top of heart, pipe tip 21 shells in a heart shape, 1 1/4 in. from top edge. Fill inside shell heart with cherry filling. Position "C" candies around cake.

Absolutely loved this recipe! It was my first time making a Chocolate Cheesecake from scratch, and it came out so delicious! I just ran out of time for the Candy "C" pieces. But it still looked and tasted great!

We did this for a grooms cake at a wedding. We did not do the chocolate melt pieces, instead we did chocolate curls over the cherries. It looked gorgeous!
