Chocolate Filled Sweet Rolls Recipe

Breakfast in bed just got a little sweeter with these Chocolate Filled Sweet Rolls. Let the kids help in making these to give mom a Valentine’s Day she’ll never forget. Sure to be a hit with the whole family, these chocolate sweet rolls are the perfect Valentine’s Day treat.

Step 1

Place paper bakeware on cookie pan.

Step 2

To prepare filling, stir together butter, hot cocoa mix and flour in medium bowl. Set aside.

Step 3

Prepare hot roll mix according to package directions. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to a 20 in. x 12 in. rectangle. With spatula, spread filling evenly across the dough. Starting with 20 in. side, begin rolling the dough tightly, pressing edges to seal. Cut log into 12 pieces.

Step 4

Place one roll, cut side down, into each piece of paper bakeware. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and a cloth towel; set aside in a warm place and allow to rise 30 minutes.

Step 5

Preheat oven to 375°F. Remove towel and plastic wrap. Bake 17-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on cooling grid 10 minutes.

Step 6

In small bowl, melt dark cocoa Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Drizzle over rolls; serve warm.
