Cherry Blossom Pattern Candy Bark

Piping designs as part of a molded candy plaque is an easy and exciting way to decorate with Candy Melts candy! Just use three beautiful colors of melted candy and a cut decorating bag to pipe the free-form floral design. Give the blossoms and leaves texture using the brush embroidery technique.

  1. Make candy flowers. Melt bright pink Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Use melted bright pink candy in cut decorating bag to pipe flowers in pan. Pipe one petal at a time and before candy can set, use brush to draw thin lines of the candy toward the center of the petal. Make six rows of flowers, alternating between three and four full and partial flowers.
  2. Make candy leaves and branches. Melt dark green, light cocoa and a small amount of white Candy Melts candy, separately, according to package directions. Use 2 tablespoons melted white candy to lighten 1 teaspoon green for leaves. Reserve remaining white candy.

    Use melted light green candy in cut decorating bag to pipe leaves one at a time and brushing lines toward center of leaf as above. Use melted dark green candy in cut decorating bag to pipe vines connecting flowers. Use melted light cocoa candy in cut decorating bag to pipe dot flower centers. Let set, about 3 to 5 minutes. Reserve remaining light cocoa candy.

  3. Make candy bark. Melt remaining white Candy Melts candy. Pour melted white candy over flowers, leaves and vines. Use spatula to spread evenly. Chill until firm, about 15 to 20 minutes.

    Pour reserved melted light cocoa candy over white candy. Use spatula to spread evenly. Chill until firm, about 15 to 20 minutes. Unmold.
