Nothing says FALL like caramel apples. Crafted to look like the famous fall treat, these cupcakes are full of spice, peanuts and caramel flavors, then topped off with Wilton Treat Sticks that look like real branches. Make them to celebrate the beginning of the season with family and friends.
Make cupcakes. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake cupcakes in muffin pan with baking cups. Cool.
Tint icing and prepare decorating bag. Tint buttercream icing red. Combine Red-Red and Christmas Red for red shown. Place in decorating bag with tip 12.
Ice cupcakes. Pipe icing on tops of cupcakes. Use spatula to smooth icing.
Decorate cupcakes. Press chopped peanuts on edges of cupcakes, covering one third of top edges. Heat caramel sauce to warm. Place in disposable decorating bag. Cut ½ in. off end off bag and pipe caramel on cupcake tops. Insert branch treat sticks.
