How to Pipe a Ranunculus

1. -

   Tint icing. Using Moss Green icing color, tint 1/2 cup icing green. Using Peach icing color, tint 1 1/2 cups icing peach.

   Pipe center of flower. Prepare decorating bag with coupler and green icing. Attach icing square to flower nail using small touch of icing. Using tip 12, pipe mound about 1/2 inches wide and 1/2 inch tall.

2. - Pipe center of flower. Prepare decorating bag with coupler and green icing. Attach icing square to flower nail using small touch of icing. Using tip 12, pipe mound about 3/4 inches wide and 1/2 inch tall.
3. - Switch to tip 61. With wide end of tip down and narrow end parallel to the mound, pipe first petal over mound, forming an arch, then slightly turn nail and overlap second petal over first, forming an X shape.
4. - Continue turning and overlapping petals, slightly tilting tip outward, until desired size is achieved.
5. - Make flower petals. Prepare decorating bag with coupler and peach icing. Using tip 61, continue piping petals around center of flower using same motion, tilting tip outward slightly on each round to open flower, until desired size is achieved.
