Hop to it and decorate your Easter cupcakes with iconic bunny shapes made using Candy Melts® Candy. The brightly colored icing swirls top the chocolate cupcakes, making these treats worthy of a prominent display on your Easter dessert table.
Make cupcakes. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool cupcakes in white baking cups.
Make Candy Melts candy bunnies. Place bunny pattern on cake board. Cover with waxed paper and tape in place. Melt candy following package direction. Place melted candy in prepared parchment bag. Pipe ears and bodies first. Chill approximately 5 minutes. Pipe heads. Chill until set, about 5 minutes. Outline and fill in bunny shapes.
Tint icing and prepare decorating bags. Divide icing and tint yellow, pink, green, teal and blue. Combine Pink with a touch of Sky Blue for pink shown. Combine Kelly Green with Sky Blue for green shown. Combine Sky Blue with Kelly Green for teal shown. Combine Violet with Sky Blue for blue shown. Separately place icing in five decorating bags fitted with tip 1M.
Decorate cupcakes. Pipe 1M rosettes on cupcake tops. Carefully remove candy bunnies from waxed paper. Position one bunny on each cupcake.
