Make owl. Tint fondant balls in the following sizes: 1 1/8 in. medium brown, 1 in. brown/red-red combination (for dark brown), 1 in. light brown and 3/4 in. black. Reserve a 3/4 in. ball of white. Knead 1/8 teaspoon Gum-Tex into medium brown.
Use 9 in. fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out medium brown fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use largest oval Cut-Out to cut body. Use medium round Cut-Out to cut head. Use same Cut-Out to cut a curve at top of body, 1/4 in. from edge, to fit head. Position head in cut area. Use damp brush to secure. Use narrow end of medium leaf Cut-Out to cut two horns, 1/4 in. long; reverse one for opposite side. Use damp brush to attach to head.
Use 9 in. rolling pin with pink guide rings to roll out light brown fondant 1/16 in. thick. Use medium oval Cut-Out to cut belly. Use narrow end of tip 12 to imprint semi-circles for feathers. Attach belly to body.
