Create a marbled look on your cake pops with this Marbleized Cake Pops project. Fun for baby showers and weddings, these cake pops are deceivingly easy to make and look so elegant when completed. These cake pops feature blue and green marbling, but you could use any colors you’d like to best suit your occasion.
Bake cake. Prepare cake following Basic Cake Ball Pops Recipe. Cut cake in half. Place one half of cake in freezer for later use. Crumble remaining cake with icing.
Prep cake pops. Roll out small cake pops. Place on wax paper-covered board. Chill two hours.
Melt white candy following package instructions. Dip end of stick into melted candy; push into cake pop. Place cake pop in display stand; chill until set, about 10 minutes.
Tint candy. Add EZ Thin to remaining melted white candy following package instructions. Using blue candy color, tint 2 oz. melted candy blue. Transfer to decorating bag. Using green candy color, tint 2 oz. melted candy green. Transfer to decorating bag.
Dip cake pops. Transfer remaining white candy to deep bowl. Drizzle small amount of tinted candy over white candy. Holding stick of cake pop, dip pop into candy, turning stick clockwise to swirl candy; lift straight out of bowl. Carefully tap off excess candy; place pops in stand. Add more tinted candy as needed. Chill until set, about 20 minutes.
Makes about 48 cake pops.
Helpful Hint: If candy gets too marbled, spoon off mixed candy from top or add more white candy and re-drizzle blue and green candy.
