Topped with simple piped flowers and candy bunny ears, these Easter cupcakes are a spring floral fantasy! Bake cupcakes. Bake and cool cupcakes in white cupcake liners.
Make bunny ears. Print out Bunny Ears Pattern (find by clicking Download PDF on page). Position pattern on cake board; tape down to secure. Cover pattern with wax paper.
Melt Candy Melts candy according to package instructions. Prepare parchment bag with melted candy; cut small tip. Pipe ears on wax paper. Chill until set, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Prepare icing. Prepare icing following recipe instructions. Using color combinations provided, tint 2 cups icing each purple, blue and green. Reserve remaining icing white.
Prepare two decorating bags with tip 103; stripe one bag with purple and white icing, the other with blue and white icing. Prepare two decorating bags with tip 2D; stripe one bag with blue and white icing, the other with purple and white icing. Prepare third decorating bag with tip 352; fill with green icing.
*Combine Violet, Rose and Black icing colors to get purple color shown. Combine Royal Blue and Black icing colors to get blue color shown. Combine Leaf Green, Brown, Golden Yellow and Black icing colors to get green color shown.
Decorate cupcakes. Using decorating bags with tip 103, alternate piping purple and blue sweet peas around outside edge of each cupcake (about five sweet peas per cupcake).
Using flower nail and decorating bags with tip 103, pipe purple or blue 5-petal roses; place one in center of each cupcake. Alternate piping purple and blue 3-petal roses. Position on cupcakes, forming circle around center rose.
Using decorating bags with tip 2D, alternate piping purple and blue drop flowers around rose and in between sweet peas.
Using decorating bag with tip 352, pipe leaves.
Using angled spatula, gently remove ears from wax paper. Insert into top of cupcakes.
