Birthday Mischief Maker Cake

Step 1
Two days in advance: Make spikes and feet. Tint fondant: 6 oz. orange, 4 oz. violet. Add 1/8 teaspoon Gum-Tex to each. Roll out orange 3/16 in. thick. Use patterns to cut four big and five small spikes. Use half of violet to roll two 2 1/2 x 7/8 x 1 in. high tapered logs for feet (reserve excess for arm). Let all dry on cornstarch-dusted boards.
Step 2
Bake and cool 1-layer cake. Roll 2 oz. white fondant into 3 1/4 in. diameter eye; attach with icing. Tint fondant: 3 oz. black, 2 oz. green; reserve 1 oz. white. Roll out 1/8 in. thick as needed. Use pattern to cut out mouth; attach with icing. Cut 1/2 to 1 in. long triangles for teeth; attach using damp brush. Use medium round Cut-Out to cut pupil; attach. Roll 1/4 in. diameter green logs; attach around mouth.
Step 3
Cover cake with tip 19 stars. Roll reserved violet into a 6 x 3/4 in. log. Shape hand and cut slits for fingers; position on cake. Attach spikes to lollipop sticks using melted candy; insert. Push feet onto candy sticks; insert.
