Rated 4 out of 5 by cruisingkat from Made this for my Grandson's First Communion. I didn't use fondant as he wanted whipped cream. I frosted the cake with whipped cream tinted light blue. Instead of fondant for the white cross and host, I used vanilla candy melts for the cross pieces spreading the melted chocolate on parchment and using a pizza cutter to cut them out. I brushed goldenrod color dust to edge the candy cross. I used white candy melts for the host. I piped vanilla candy melts for the letters on the host. The slight color difference between the vanilla and white candy melts made a nice contrast.

Rated 4 out of 5 by andkiminn from Used the idea for this cross cake for a birthday cake. I omitted the very top decoration and used dots instead of the swirls. I loved the blue color, and the customer was very pleased.
