Perfect for classic borders or cloudlike decorations, dots are a versatile technique that can be piped in a range of sizes. The dot technique can be used as a simple border for cakes and cookies, as well as for icing cupcakes or piping meringues.

The star tip creates the most celebrated, easily accomplished decorations! The pull-out star technique can be used for fun, furry creatures, or for textured hair for your cakes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So my girlfriend and her hubby wanted to have a "Gender" party to share with their family and friends the sex of their baby. So we made the theme of the party "What's it gunna bee?" I just used vanilla cake mix and used food coloring to die the mix blue or pink. I actually made the cake 3 layers. 1 vanilla layer, 1 chocolate layer, and the middle was the colored layer. I made the cake around 2" thick. I just followed these decorating instrucctions and Shazammmm! There you have it, a simple, easy, gender cake! They loved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this cake for a co-workers birthday and it was an office hit. To make the cookie face smooth I let the frosting on the cookie set for a while then placed wax paper on the top and rubbed over it with my finger.
