Basic Muffins Recipe

This is a recipe you can call your own! Choose the ingredient mix-ins to match your family favorites or use any combination for flavorful fun. Top the muffins with Sparkling Sugar for extra taste and a bit of sparkling crunch!

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray muffin pan cavities with vegetable pan spray.

Step 2

In medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Step 3

In large bowl, whisk together milk, butter, eggs and vanilla extract. Add flour mixture and stir until just moistened. Do not over mix.

Step 4

Divide batter evenly into pan cavities (wells will be full). Divide mix-ins evenly among cavities, 2 tablespoons per cavity. Stir batter in each cavity to distribute mix-ins.

Step 5

Bake for 22-24 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes before removing.

Step 6

Mix-in suggestions: blueberries topped with Wilton Sparkling Sugar, chocolate chips, dried cranberries with white chocolate chips, and banana slices with chopped walnuts.
