In advance: Make cookies. Prepare and roll
out dough. Use teddy bear cutter to cut
one body for each figure; use knife to trim
off ears and arms. Use largest round Cut-Out to cut heads. Use
pattern to cut two easel backs per figure.
Bake and cool cookies.
Use royal icing to decorate heads and bodies
separately on waxed paper-covered boards.
Ice heads smooth in skin tones, then
decorate features as follows.
Attach candy eyeballs with
dots of icing. Pipe in tip 5 pants, outline
suspenders and dot buttons. Texturize
pants using tip of knife. Pipe tip 12 pull-out
arms. Pipe tip 3 pull-out fingers, pipe in
eyelids. Pipe tip 2 pull-out hair, outline
mouth, pipe in teeth, dot nostrils and toes.
Attach heads; let dry. Attach
easel backs; let dry. Add piping gel tinted red
for blood and wounds in cut parchment bag.
