Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and yummy! This is a simple, fast recipe that works well when baking with kids. My kids have allergies and it adapts really well if you substitute different ingredients as needed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lacking Taste and Texture Followed the basic ingredient list/recipe for these donuts. Used sifted cake flour and buttermilk, but added more spices as suggested by other reviewers. Either way, the donuts themselves were very eggy and rubbery. Next time, I'm going to try a modified cake, quick-bread, or muffin recipe to see if I can get a taste and/or texture similar to an actual cake donut.
