In advance: Cover board. Prepare and cover double thick
board with 18 oz. tinted green fondant. Roll outremaining
white fondant 1/8 in. thick. Cut a 10 1/2 in. diameter circle using
circle cutter. Attach to covered board using damp brush.
Knead together 1 oz. white and 1 oz. green fondant; roll
out 1/16 in. thick. Cut about 40 circles using wide end of tip
12. Attach around outer edge using damp brush, trimming
Also in advance: Make wing. Roll out white fondant 1/8 in.
thick. Use pattern to cut out wing. Let dry on large section
of flower former.
Bake and cool cake using only one side of pan (about 3 1/2
cups of batter). Position on prepared board. Pipe tip 5 dot
eye; smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch. Cover body
and beak with tip 16 stars. Position wing. Cover wing with tip
16 stars. Position confetti dots.
