Perfect for classic borders or cloudlike decorations, dots are a versatile technique that can be piped in a range of sizes. The dot technique can be used as a simple border for cakes and cookies, as well as for icing cupcakes or piping meringues.

Characters or designs are often outlined first, then piped in with stars or zigzags. Outlines can also be used for facial features.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very easy and very popular at my Goddaughter's baby shower. you can change the icing from either pink or blue if you know the baby's gender. if not, you can use any pastel color. you can use them as decorations, favors or dessert. Very, very cute and versatile and inexpensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This cookie was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I made it for my friend's mother when she had a baby girl so instead of blue I used pink.
