Preheat oven to 325ºF. Spray Pan with vegetable pan spray.
In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, cloves and nutmeg. In small bowl, whisk eggs, oil and applesauce. Stir applesauce mixture into flour mixture, mixing only until combined. Stir in pecans. Pour batter into pan.
Bake 40-45 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan on cooling rack. Cut into squares. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
