Make cupcakes. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool cupcakes.
Pipe swirl on cupcakes. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint portions green and black. Use tip 1A and green icing to pipe a loose swirl on tops of cupcakes.
Decorate cupcakes. Position candy eyeballs. Use tip 4 and black icing to pipe mouth. Use finger dipped in cornstarch to gently pat down. Use fondant roller to flatten taffy to shape tongue. Attach to mouth. Use icing to attach candy corn to tongue.
Your homemade cupcakes will be even more tempting when you add a pretty peak of icing on top! We used tip 2A here, but any large round tip will work.
