Say goodbye to high-rise centers, cracked tops and over-cooked edges. With easy to use Wilton Bake Even strips, you don't have to settle for anything less than perfection. Just dampen our strips and wrap around the pan before baking. The moisture in the strips keeps the edges of the pan cooler for perfectly level and deliciously moist cakes-every time! No leveling means no wasted cake and icing and decorating are a breeze! Oven safe, instructions included.

Three easy steps:

  • Measure: Fit the dry Bake-Even strip around the pan, and thread the strip through the fabric loop. Strips can be used in combination to fit larger sized pans.
  • Soak: Remove pan and run strip under cold water to wet; for best results soak the strip in a bowl of ice/cold water for 5 minutes. Remove excess water, but do not wring.
  • Cinch: Place strip on the counter and put pan inside. Cinch to tighten. Add batter; bake as directed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE! This version of bake-even strips are HORRIBLE. They're difficult to secure to each other for larger cakes and the loops don't hold them tight around the pans. I cut the loops off and bought some larger t-shaped quilting pins to secure the strips like the old version. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome tool! These strips came in on time to use to bake 2-12x18 cakes and they performed remarkably! What really kept them in tacked and secure was using the stainless steel pins I had from even strips I had bought about 10 years ago. I am recommending that these pins should be included in these updated strips, and I mean they helped a lot. Thank you for a great product. I enjoy using Wilton products immensely! I’m one happy baker!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Make Your Own Works well on an 8,9 or 10 inch Round pan with straight sides. They allowed the cake to bake more evenly by keeping the sides cooler so they did not set so fast as to let the crown be so much higher. On rectangular pans and those with sloped sides, they do NOT matter what you do they slip off. So frustrating. Like others, I cut an old bath towel into strips about 5" wide and long enough to fit around several of my pans. My 10X15 pan is the one I use the most so I cut that strip 5" wide X 52" long (10+15+10+15=50 + 2 inches to pin it together). I soak the strip, fold it in half (so 2.5" wide) wrap it around the pan and pin it (I like the T pins, easier to use than safety pins). Works great and saves you $25.
