Make mini cakes. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool mini cakes. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Use spatula and icing to attach skull halves together.
Glaze mini cakes. Prepare confectioners? sugar glaze icing following recipe directions. Tint medium green. Use brush to brush tinted glaze on mini cakes. Let dry 20 minutes. Repeat for a thicker coating if necessary.
Make nose. Tint 1/4 oz. white fondant medium green. Roll into log, 1 in. wide x 1 1/4 in. long, tapering one end. Use knife to cut a small amount out of nose cavity, and use glaze to attach nose to cake. Reserve 1/4 in. ball of fondant.
Make eyes. Use 1/4 oz. white fondant to roll a flatten ball for each eye, 5/8 in. wide x 1 in. long. For pupils, use fondant roller with pink guide rings to roll out 1 oz. black fondant 1/16 in. thick. Use wide end of tip 5 to cut shape. Use damp brush to attach pupils to eyeballs and eyeballs to mini cakes.
Make brows. Tint 1/4 oz. ball of white fondant light green. Roll into two logs, 1 3/8 in. long. Use glaze to attach to mini cakes. Reserve remaining fondant.
Make teeth and lips. For teeth, tint 1/4 oz. white fondant light brown. Use fondant roller with pink guide rings to roll out 1/16 in. thick. Use knife to cut out six misshaped teeth, about 1/4 in. long. Use glaze to attach to mouth.
For lips, use remaining light green fondant to roll two logs, 1/8 in. dia. x 3 1/2 in. long. Use glaze to attach to mini cake.
Make hair. Roll 2 oz. black fondant into logs, 1/8 in. dia. Use knife to cut 50 pieces, each 4 in. to 6 in. long. Reserve remaining fondant. Use hand to curl some pieces and leave some straight. Melt black Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Use melted black candy in cut parchment bag to attach hair to mini cakes. Let set 5 to 10 minutes.
Make accents. For nose mole, roll a small ball of reserved black fondant. Use glaze to attach to nose. For chin mole, roll 1/4 in. of reserved medium green fondant into ball. Use glaze to attach to chin.
