Characters or designs are often outlined first, then piped in with stars or zigzags. Outlines can also be used for facial features.

The star tip creates the most celebrated, easily accomplished decorations! The serrated edges of the star tip make ridges in the icing as you squeeze it out. Because fill in requires so much piping from the same bag, keep replenishing icing in bag.

Victory Lap Cake is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This cake was very long, hard and tedious work, but it came out BEAUTIFUL! I made the candies a couple days in advance and had everything set for the last day when we were going to celebrate my nephew's birthday. It took a long time because I don't have much experience building something like this, but it was definitely a crowd-pleaser and a huger hit with everyone! I think what took the longest was making all the different colors of icing and filling the bags. I highly recommend trying this cake out! I think that being very organized and starting a few days in advance helps out a lot!
