On a bird, the wings have three parts, the upper, the drummette, and the tip and the picture only has two, and they are flipped. The tips should be almost parallel with the center breast bone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bmjanzen from I just recently made this turkey for my Thanksgiving cake, and it was a whole lot easier than it looked! I was expecting to spend a while on it, with the possibility of redoing it to get it right, but it turned out great on the first try! It does take a little while to get all the pieces properly shaped and sized, but it is worth the extra time! If you are making it ahead of time to dry, make sure you put it on something that you can easily take it off of. My platter broke when I was tranferring it, so be careful!
