In advance: Make cookies. Prepare and roll
out dough. Use teddy bear cutter to cut
body for figure; use knife to trim
off ears and arms. Use skull cutter from set to cut heads. Use
pattern to cut two easel backs per figure.
Bake and cool cookies.
Use royal icing to decorate heads and bodies
separately on waxed paper-covered boards.
Ice heads smooth in assorted skin tones, then
decorate features as follows.
Draw veins on candy eyes
with edible marker; attach with dots of icing.
Pipe in tip 5 pants and shirt. Use edge of
spatula to texturize shirt and fray ends of
pant legs. Pipe tip 4 outline belt. Pipe tip
12 pull-out arms. Pipe tip 5 hand. Pipe tip
2 pull-out fingers. Pipe in tip 3 mouth and
hair. Pipe tip 2 dot nostrils and toes, pipe in
eyelids, sockets, teeth and tongue.
Attach heads; let dry. Attach
easel backs; let dry. Add piping gel tinted red
for blood and wounds in cut parchment bag.
