In advance: Make cookies. Prepare and roll
out dough. Use teddy bear cutter to cut
one body for each figure; use knife to trim
off ears and arms. Use skull cutter from set to cut heads. Use
pattern to cut two easel backs per figure.
Bake and cool cookies.
Use royal icing to decorate heads and bodies
separately on waxed paper-covered boards.
Ice heads smooth in skin tones, then
decorate features as follows.
Color in whites of candy
eyeballs with edible marker. Spatula ice pants
and shirt, pull-out hair. Pipe tip 12 pull-out
arms. Pipe tip 3 pull-out fingers. Pipe tip 2
outline mouth, eye details, nostrils, pull-out
teeth, swirl brains, dot toes.
Attach heads; let dry. Attach
easel backs; let dry. Add piping gel tinted red
for blood and wounds in cut parchment bag.
