Step 1

1 DAY IN ADVANCE

Make cookies. Prepare and roll out cookie dough following recipe directions. Use jersey cutter from 4-pc. football colored metal cutter set to cut cookies. Bake and cool cookies.

Step 2

Flow in cookies. Prepare Color Flow icing following recipe directions. Tint portions orange, lemon yellow, leaf green/ lemon yellow combination (for green), teal and a small portion brown. Reserve remaining white.

Use tip 3 and full-strength orange, blue, yellow, green or white Color Flow icing to outline cookies. Use thinned Color Flow in cut disposable bag to flow in cookies. Let dry 24 hours.

Step 3

DAY OF CELEBRATION

Decorate orange cookie. Tint a 3/4 in. ball of fondant each red-red and orange. For bow tie, use 9 in. fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out red fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use knife to cut a rectangle, 3/4 in. wide x 1 in. long. Cut a V-shape on each long end for bow loops. Use narrow end of tip 12 and red fondant to cut a circle for knot.

For shirt details, use 9 in. fondant roller with pink guide rings to roll out orange fondant 1/16 in. thick. Use knife to cut strips, 1/2 in. wide x 1 in. long, for lapels and, 1/4 in. wide x 2 in. long, for shirt placket. Use narrow end of tip 6 to cut circles for buttons. Use damp brush to attach all pieces to cookie.

Step 4

Decorate teal cookie.Tint a 5/8 in. white fondant ball orange, a 1/2 in. ball lemon yellow, a 1/2 in. ball teal and a 1/4 in. ball leaf green/lemon yellow combination (for green). Roll out all colors 1/16 in. thick.

For tie, use knife to cut an orange strip, 1/2 in. wide x 2 in. long. Trim end to a V-shape. For knot, cut an orange strip, 3/8 in. x 3/8 in. Use narrow end of tip 8 to cut lemon yellow circles for polka dots. Use damp brush to attach knot and polka dots to tie. For pocket, cut a teal square, 5/8 in. x 5/8 in. Trim one edge in a V-shape. For pocket trim, cut a green strip, 1/8 in. wide x 5/8 in. long. Use damp brush to attach all pieces to cookie.

Step 5

Decorate yellow cookie. Use tip 3 and full-strength brown icing to pipe outline tree trunk. Use tip 349 and full-strength green icing to pipe leaves.

Step 6

Decorate green cookie. Tint a 1 in. ball of white fondant each lemon yellow and teal. Roll out fondant 1/16 in. thick. Use knife to cut teal strips, 1/4 in. wide, for shirt piping. Use damp brush to attach to cookie; trim as needed to fit. Use Cut-Outs from alphabet/numbers Cut-Outs fondant cutters to cut yellow message. For hash tag, cut two of letter ?I?. Cut vertically in half to make four strips. Use damp brush to attach message to cookie.

Step 7

Decorate white cookie. Tint a 1 1/2 in. ball of white fondant leaf green/lemon yellow combination (for green). Roll out 1/16 in. thick. For waistband, use knife to cut a strip, 1/2 in. wide x 2 1/2 in. long. Cut three diamonds, 5/8 in. wide x 3/4 in. high. For sleeve trim, cut two strips, 1/4 in. wide x 7/8 in. long. For collar trim, cut two strips, 1/4 in. wide x 2 1/2 in. long. Use damp brush to attach all pieces to cookie.
