Violet Daisy

The violet daisy is a whirl of stacked and staggered gum paste petals, with a lovely cupped shape. Create the shape by drying in our Mini Ball Pan.

Step 1

Roll out violet-tinted gum paste and cut four flowers using daffodil cutter from Floral Collection Set. Place flowers on foam square from Floral Collection Set and mark center line on each petal using veining tool from Confectioners Tool Set.

Step 2

Stack flowers, attaching in alternating fashion with water. Let dry in cornstarch-dusted Mini Ball Pan.

Step 3

For center, roll 5/8 in. ball of white gum paste and attach to flower with water; let dry overnight. Attach flower with gum paste to wire wrapped in florist tape.
