Sponge Painting Fondant
The dappled color effect of Sponging Fondant works with Icing Writer™ or thinned royal or buttercream icing and crumpled paper towel. Use crumpled waxed paper or plastic wrap for a different look.
Ingredients:
- Easy-Add Pink Icing Writer™ Add to shopping list Pink Icing Writer™
- Ready-To-Use White Rolled Fondant (to cover cake)Easy-Add Ready-To-Use White Rolled Fondant Add to shopping list Ready-To-Use White Rolled Fondant
- Buttercream icing (to ice cake before covering with fondant)
- Also, thinned buttercream icing may be used instead of Icing Writer)
Tools:
- Easy-Add Color Tray Add to shopping list Color Tray
- Paper towel
Instructions:
Step 1
Pour Icing Writer into Color Tray. Dip crumpled paper towel in the color. Test on parchment paper or a paper towel.
Step 2
Lightly press against fondant-covered cake surface.
Step 3
Continue sponging color until surface is covered. If some areas look too light, fill in with a little more color.
