This ruffle gets added dimension with a shell bottom border base.
Buttercream icing (medium consistancy)
Pipe shell bottom border with tip 21.
Pipe tip 127D ruffle over shells. Keep wide end of tip lightly touching the cake at all times. Keep narrow end of tip down and away, covering the shell. Slowly rotate your wrist up, then down, then slide.
Repeat the up-down-slide motion to complete the ruffle around the cake.
