instructions
Step 1
A week in advance: Make flowers and leaves. Tint 12 oz. portions of fondant each in orange, yellow, rose, blue and violet; tint an 8 oz. portion green. Add 1 teaspoon Gum-Tex to each portion.* Roll out fondant 1/8 in. thick. Following Cut & Press package directions make 30 each large and small flowers, 30 button centers, 20 large leaves and 15 small leaves. Dry flowers in cornstarch-dusted forming cups. Dry button centers on wax paper-covered board dusted with cornstarch. Dry leaves on cornstarch-dusted medium flower formers, curved side up. For shallower curve, lay leaves at an angle. Let all dry overnight.
Step 2
Assemble flowers and make vines. Attach button centers to small flowers and some small flowers to large flowers with Thinned Fondant Adhesive. For vines, using fondant adhesive, attach flowers and leaves separately to 6 in. lengths of wire wrapped in florist tape; let dry.
Step 3
For tendrils, use fifteen 6 in. lengths of wrapped wire; curl one end of each using wire cutters.
*Hint: You may substitute Wilton Ready-To-Use Gum Paste and tint with colored fondant.
