Fondant Inlay

Using 2 sizes of Cut-Outs™ or cookie cutters, Fondant Inlays add a contrasting color shape within a larger cut shape. Try making them directly on your cake!

Step 1

Using a cookie or gum paste cutter, or the end of a decorating tip, cut out shapes from a piece of rolled fondant in a different color from your fondant-covered cake.

Step 2

Cut the same size shape from your cake. Remove the cut piece from your cake.

Step 3

Position the different color shape. Smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch or with an Easy-Glide Smoother to blend edges.
