Using classic fleurs de lis as a topiary for tiny drop flowers is an elegant and creative touch that will help your cake stand apart.

Instructions:

Step 1

In advance: Make drop flowers in royal icing. For each fleurs de lis, make approximately eight tip 224 drop flowers and seven tip 225 drop flowers, all with tip 3 dot centers. Let dry.

Step 2

If desired, use cake dividing set to mark cake sides for positioning of fleurs de lis. Pipe a tip 32 upright shell for center.

Step 3

Pipe two tip 32 elongated side shells to bottom point of center shell.

Step 4

Position drop flowers on top of center shell. Pipe tip 349 leaves.

*Combine Lemon Yellow with Golden Yellow for yellow shade shown.
