Instructions:

Step 1

Roll out Gum Paste 1/8 in. thick. Cut an 11 x 5 1/2 in. rectangle; lay on waxed paper-covered board dusted with cornstarch. Roll 1 end up and around plastic dowel rod dusted with cornstarch. Roll opposite end under and around another dowel rod dusted with cornstarch. Cut a 4 1/2 x 3 in. piece for diploma braces. Cut on a diagonal to form 2 triangles. Let pieces dry on board dusted with cornstarch. When dry attach braces to back of diploma using a glue gun to secure.
