Instructions:
Step 1
Roll out gum paste 1/8 in. thick. Use tulip leaf cutter from Floral Collection Flower Making Set to cut 1 leaf for each.
Step 2
Cut 3/4 in. off tapered bottom. Use rolling pin to widen to approximately 3 in. across.
Step 3
Place on thin foam lightly dusted with cornstarch; soften side edges with large ball tool from Fondant/Gum Paste Tool Set.
Step 4
Position modeling stick over center of petal, 3/4 in. from bottom edge. Roll one side of petal over to center. Brush 1/4 in. of top edge with adhesive.
Step 5
Wrap opposite edge over to form cone; pinch and smooth seams to seal. Gently shape top edge. Let dry on paper cone dusted with cornstarch.
Step 6
For centers, roll a 1/4 in. thick rope; cut a 1 1/2 in. length for each lily. Smooth and taper tip; let dry. Dust with yellow Pearl Dust. Attach to calla lily with dot of royal icing; let dry.
