Step 1

In advance: Make castle candy plaque. Tint 28 oz. melted white candy light yellow. Pour into castle pan. Tap to settle; chill until firm. Unmold. Use hot knife to level bottom edge. Use melted light cocoa candy to fill in door and windows. Let set. Attach dowel rod to back center using melted candy; leave 4 in. extended at bottom to insert into cake. Let set. Insert in craft block.

Step 2

Tint portions of icing violet, yellow, pink, green and blue. Cover turrets with tip 21 horizontal outlines. Use white icing to pipe tip 16 outlines around windows. Position nonpareils in icing. Pipe tip 5 pull-out drips below windows (match to turret color). Use blue to pipe tip 16 outline around door; attach confetti for doorknob. Use white to pipe tip 16 swirls and zigzag swags across center; attach confetti to each swirl and point.

Step 3

Bake and cool 2-layer cake. Ice cake smooth (sides white, top green).

Step 4

Attach edible paper scallop border around bottom, dot border around top with edible adhesive. Use punch with largest circle insert to cut four circles from each solid color of edible paper. Attach a cupcake design to each circle using edible adhesive. Attach circles around cake side, 1/4 in. apart, with edible adhesive.

Step 5

Cut two dowel rod sections 4 in. long. Insert into cake, 5 in. apart, where plaque will sit. Insert plaque. Cut spearmint leaves in half. Attach to plaque with melted candy. Attach confetti for walkway with icing. Position spice drops around cake.
