Make cake. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool cake. Place cake on a foil-wrapped cake board, cut to fit.
Ice cake. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint black and green. Use 9 in. tapered spatula and black icing to ice cavities smooth. Use 13 in. angled spatula and green icing to spatula ice cake.
Decorate facial features. Use tip 7 and black icing to pipe lines around eyes, nose and mouth, slightly pushing into green icing.
Make eyes. For eyeballs, tint 4 1/4 oz. fondant yellow. Divide into two separate pieces and roll each into ball. For pupils, tint 1/2 in. ball of fondant black. Use fondant roller with pink guide rings to roll out black fondant 1/16 in. thick. Use wide end of tip 7 to cut two circles.
Place eyeballs in eye cavities. Use damp brush to attach pupils to eyeballs.
