  1. Ingredients:

    • Favorite white cake mix or recipe (4½ cups batter needed)
    • Color Right Performance Color System
    • Ready-To-Use Decorator Icing – 4.5 lb. Tub (9 cups used)

    Supplies:

    • Easy Layers! 6 in. Cake Pan Set
    • Cooling Grid
    • 11 in. Straight Spatula
    • Cake pedestal
    • Disposable Decorating Bags
  2. Batter Colors Tinted

    Use Color Right base colors and QuickCount color formulas to tint batter in the following shades (divide batter equally among five pans, about ¾ cup batter per pan):

    • Summer Green: batter + 30 Y + 2 B
    • Pastel Pink: batter + 2 P
    • Light Pastel Pink: batter + 1 P
    • Bright and Bold Orange: batter + 8 O + 8 Y + 1 R
    • Bright and Bold Yellow: batter + 5 Y + 2 O

    Icing Colors Tinted

    Use Color Right base colors and QuickCount color formulas to tint icing in the following shades:

    • Summer Green: 1 cup white icing + 15 Y + 2 B
    • Pastel Pink: 1 cup white icing + 2 P
    • Light Pastel Pink: 1 cup white icing + 1 P
    • Bright and Bold Orange: 1 cup white icing + 8 O + 8 Y + 1 R
    • Bright and Bold Yellow: 1 cup white icing + 5 Y + 1 O

    Reserve remaining icing white.

  3. Make layered cake.

    Tint batter following color formulas above. Pour one color batter into each pan. Bake and cool cake according to pan instructions.

  4. Assemble cake layers.

    Starting with green layer, then following with dark pink, light pink, orange and yellow, use spatula and white icing to fill and stack cake layers on pedestal. Tint remaining icing following color formulas above.

  5. Ice cake.

    Fill decorating bags with tinted icing. Cut tip; pipe band of matching color icing on side of each tinted cake layer. Use spatula to smooth icing, being careful not to blend colors. Cover cake top with circles of icing, starting with green on edge and repeating color order to center of cake. Use spatula to smooth top.
