Bake and cool one-layer cake using firm-textured
batter like pound cake. Level to 1. in. high. Use
third smallest plastic cutter to imprint heart
shapes; cut out cakes with knife.
Tint half of melted white candy pink. Place cakes
on cooling grid over parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Cover half of cakes with pink, half with white
Candy. Tap to settle; chill until firm.
For bottom borders, use rotary cutter to cut strips,
3/8 in. wide x 8. in. long from black edible paper.
Attach strips with edible adhesive. Use black

trace shapes on shiny side of zebra edible paper;
cut out. Attach to cake tops with edible adhesive.

to trace heart shapes on shiny side of red edible
