You won’t be the only one stuffed after your Thanksgiving meal this year! These cute Stuffed Turkey Treat Pops make for fun Thanksgiving desserts for the whole family. With just a few pieces of chocolate cake, these Thanksgiving treats won’t sit heavy in your tummy, and they can double as fun table decorations if you display them on the table for all to see! Add a fondant head and wings to each treat pop to help bring your turkey to life!
Make wings. Tint 1 1/8 in. ball of white fondant brown/red-red for brown shown. Use 9 in. fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out brown fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use medium leaf Cut-Out to cut two wings for each treat. Let dry in large concave section of wave flower former dusted with cornstarch, reversing one wing to point in opposite direction.
Make head. Roll reserved ball of brown fondant into a teardrop. Flatten back. Let dry on small convex section of flower former, dusted with cornstarch.
For beak, tint 1/2 in. ball of white fondant lemon yellow/golden yellow for yellow. Shape yellow fondant into a cone, 1/2 in. wide at base x 3/4 in. high. Use tapered spatula to score beak opening. Use damp brush to attach to head.
For wattle, tint 1/4 in. ball of white fondant red- red. Shape 1/8 oz. red fondant into a teardrop, 1 in. long. Attach to beak with damp brush.
Make brownies. Prepare your favorite brownie recipe or mix following recipe directions. Bake and cool brownies in 8 in. x 8 in. square pan. Use knife to level to 1/2 in. high. Use smallest round cutter (1 3/4 in.) from 101 cookie cutter set to cut circles.
Fill treat pops. Prepare chocolate buttercream icing following recipe directions. Position one brownie circle in treat pops container. Use tip 2A to pipe a swirl of icing from back edge following the curves of the container, then filling the center. Repeat to add three more layers of cake and icing, finishing with a mound of icing at top.
Melt light cocoa Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Use melted candy in cut candy decorating bag to attach head, wings and candy eyeballs. Chill until firm. For feathers, fold pleated autumn leaves baking cup in half. Make narrower by folding side edges inward 3/4 in. to 1 in., to create a wing span of about 5 3/4 in. wide. Use double-stick tape to secure folded areas and attach to container.
