Looking terrific in the ?20s! For this cake pop, dipped in Wilton Candy Melts candy, that means a sporty straw hat and bow tie made of fondant. It?s the perfect way to jazz up celebrations and gifts!

Step 1

Make hat two days in advance. For each treat, tint a 3/4 in. dia. ball of white fondant black. For top of hat, use 9 in. fondant roller to roll out remaining white fondant 1/2 in. thick. Use your thumb to indent bottom slightly to conform to head shape. Use medium round Cut-Out to cut circle.

For brim, use 9 in. fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out remaining white fondant 1/8 in. thick. Use largest round Cut-Out to cut circle. Use knife to cut a circle, 1 1/4 in. dia., in center for head opening. Use damp brush to attach top of hat to brim.

For hatband, use 9 in. fondant roller with pink guide rings to roll out black fondant 1/16 in. thick. Use fondant trimmer to cut a strip, 1/4 in. wide x 5 1/2 in. long. Use damp brush to attach strip to hat. Reserve remaining black fondant.

Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Use tip 1s and white buttercream icing to pipe outlines on edges of hatband.

Step 2

Make cake pops one day in advance. Prepare medium cake ball pops and insert sticks following recipe directions.

Melt white Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Use primary and garden candy colors to tint portions of melted white candy light orange (for skin tone shown) and black. Dip cake pops in melted skin tone candy. Chill until firm in stand 10 to 15 minutes. Reserve remaining candy.

Step 3

Decorate cake pops. Melt light cocoa Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Use melted light cocoa candy and cut parchment bag to pipe hair. Use melted black candy and cut parchment bag to pipe eyes and mouth. Use melted skin tone candy and cut parchment bag to pipe nose. Chill until firm in stand 3 to 5 minutes.

Step 4

Make bow tie. Use reserved black fondant to roll two balls, 3/8 in. dia. Shape into teardrops for bows. Use melted black candy and cut parchment bag to attach to lollipop stick. Let set in stand 3 to 5 minutes. For knot, roll a black ball, 1/4 in. dia. Use melted candy and cut parchment bag to attach to stick. Let set in stand 3 to 5 minutes.

Step 5

Assemble pop. Use melted light cocoa candy to attach hat to head. Let set in stand 3 to 5 minutes.
