St. Patrick's Day Pretzel Coins

No need to travel to the end of the rainbow for your pot of gold. You can make your own gold coins with this fun and easy St. Patrick's Day dessert idea! These cute St. Patrick's Day Pretzel Coins are a great snack for kids and adults, and they only require a handful of ingredients. Use round pretzels to outline your coins, then fill and decorate your coins with Candy Melts candy. A great project for beginners, this St. Patrick's Day snack is sure to bring you good luck and good fortune!

  1. Melt candy. Place round pretzels in one layer on parchment paper-covered board. Set aside.

    Melt Candy Melts according to package instructions.

  2. Fill pretzels. Prepare disposable decorating bag with melted candy; cut small tip. Fill centers of pretzels with melted candy. Reserve remaining candy for later step. Chill until set, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Decorate pretzels. Reheat reserved candy, if necessary. Fill parchment bag half way with melted candy; cut small tip. Pipe shamrocks in center of coins. Chill until set, about 10 to 15 minutes.

    Place coins on fresh sheet of parchment paper. Spray with Gold Color Mist Food Color Spray. Repeat if desired. Let dry, about 5 to 10 minutes.
