Scoop-It Batter Spoons is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was so excited when I found these spoons. I always seem to make a mess using portion scoops for making cupcakes and filling a pastry bag just seems like too much fuss. I really like them. I want to love them, but I don't. They're just ok. I think these are perfect with a runny batter, but with thicker cake or muffin batter, the batter gets mounded up in the scoop and you end up with too much. Then you have to scrape it out with something-your finger or another spoon. I do use them and I do like them. But they haven't totally replaced other methods of filling small pans.. The best feature is that they scrape the bowl beautifully. Very good thinking there.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Batter amount too high/super messy to use I've used the regular-size scoop twice now, with the same annoying result... The scoop measures out too much batter. I only got 18.5 cupcakes out of a recipe that makes 24 (which has ALWAYS worked for me until using the scoop). The 1/2 cupcake made with the small amount of leftover batter is the only one that baked to normal height. The rest bulged out from under the surface. So, now I have to trim them. It also makes the process more time-consuming because batter doesn't pour out easily, so you need to scrape it out. When you scoop, batter sticks to the underside of the scoop, therefore you also need to scrape that off or it'll drip across everything. I guess I'll just use these as serving scoops and go back to eyeballing batter amounts with my cookie scoops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am so glad I purchased these! I was skeptical because they seemed really no different than a regular spoon. But I got even cupcakes/muffins with a lot less guess work and judgment and mess. I filled the spoon to the max, and then scrape so it is flush with the back edge of a knife (that is, to make the spoon completely full without overflow), and then scrape into a cupcake liner. Seriously a great purchase - I may buy a few more sets because I loved their ease so much! They were harder to find in stores though - could only find them in an ACMoore out of state.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I really didn't like these. I didn't know whether I was expected to fill to the colored line or fill and even it off, but either way, it was messy. I was hoping Wilton would come out with something on the order of the icecream scoops that were marked for mini, regular and muffin so there was no guess work in picking them up to use for the 2/3 full. e.g by color coded that's what we need- it works but we need to know which is which. The other thing is less messy, but we still have to eyeball it, and they would still would not be uniform.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was super excited when I saw these because I could never get my cupcakes to look equal. These are pretty nice and it does help a lot but I do have an issue with them. They don't seem to pour easily and lots of batter drips from the bottom. It's to be expected but I do wish they poured easier. Like other people have said, the rubber sides are amazing. It's easier to get the last bits of batter. I will continue to use them even with the trouble I have for pouring with them. I can live with that (: They are also very easy to clean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Normally I love Wilton's products, but not this set. Even the video shows how messy the transfer of the batter can be. I also found the scoops filled my cupcake liners more than 2/3 full. There are many different, easier ways to accomplish this task. On the video she soon moves on to an easier way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I bought these scoops so I could have perfect cupcakes. My little granddaughter and I decided to bake mini cupcakes. I filled and leveled scoop even and we had a mess. Our little creations went everywhere with the first pan. I had to just use the scoop to scoop batter and eyeball. Does anyone else have this problem. I did use a box mix, too difficult to make scratch with a 3 year old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these spoons. They are wonderful. One would think that you could simply use a measuring cup, but these really are unique. These are so handy for making pancakes or for making cupcakes/muffins. They give the perfect amount each time. You don't have to dig into them for the last bit of batter either. Unlike you would for a measuring cup. They are truly a great, fun tool.
