Salted Caramel Whoopie Pies

  1. Preheat oven 325°F. Lightly spray Whoopie Pie Pan with vegetable pan spray.
  2. In medium bowl, stir together flour and baking powder.
  3. In large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add egg and Salted Caramel Flavor; beat until well combined. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Mix until just combined. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of batter into each cavity; sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
  4. Bake 12-14 minutes or until the tops of cakes spring back when touched. Cool cakes in pan on cooling grid 5 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on grid.
  5. For filling, beat butter in large bowl with electric mixer until creamy. Add confectioners' sugar and Salted Caramel Flavor; mix well. Spread about 2 tablespoons filling onto cake and sandwich with another.
