Ice smooth 2-layer 3 inch high cake and mark center heart area with toothpick, 1 1/2 inches from edge. Pipe tip 4 swirls on cake sides and top around the marked area. Position roses on marked heart. Add tip 352 leaves. Pipe tip 5 ball bottom border.

If you can make roses, you can make this cake. It's very elegant and a showstopper, but basically, it's not difficult. Great for Valentine's Day (duh), but also engagement parties, anniversaries, wedding showers. You can write names or initials in the middle. I find it helpful to freeze the roses (in flower form) if you want to make them out of buttercream.
